2004 A6 Hazard Switch Replacement
Hazard relay switch needs to be replaced. I got the old switch out as expected, only to find insufficient wire length to enable new switch to be attached to connector coming out of dash. Just no way that I can see to make this connection. Makes me think perhaps radio needs to be removed which would be insane. Any help appreciated, otherwise, I think it's off to the dealer. Thanks!

Problem solved. Special right angled 'hook tool' is used to gain access via dummy switch opening to the left of the hazard switch opening. Tool pushes against the back of the female switch connector to keep it from collapsing inside the dash and allows the male-ended switch connector to be latched in place. Nothing 1-2" of extra connector wire would have eliminated! Better yet, dealer did not charge for the quick 5 minute fix.
