Default 2004 A6 S-line comfort control module

Hey guys, my CCM was soaked in water, so I'm looking to replace. On ebay, there are several CCM's for sale, but my question is about the part numbers. Mine for example will say 000-000-000M and the ones on ebay will match, but the letter will be different, ex. 000-000-000C. What is the differences between the CCMs with a C,M,J,ect...?

From what I have been told recently (two days ago) by the dealer, these codes change as time goes by during manufacturing. I forget the term he used, but this is normal as far as mass production goes. It would be best, and easier for Audi to program this if you get a matching part number. This goes for all main computers in our vehicles. I am suffering from a damaged ECU and Central Locking (Comfort Control) module. Additionally, the local dealership has stated that they would in fact program these computers should I provide them myself. Subsequently, there would be no warranty for the work as they did not provide the part. I hope this isn't over kill, but I searched long and hard to find this info. Hope it helps!
