2005-2006 Audi A6 TDI Reliability?
((Scratch this post - I think I just found out there were no A6 TDIs sold in the US... Darn...))
Hello, all. I'm new here. I'm in the market for an A6 TDI and need some input on reliability.
I'm looking for a 2005-2006 A6 TDI sedan w/ manual transmission. I have seen the 2.0L & the 2.7L versions. They both seem pretty nice, but I don't know much about their reliability.
Basically, I have to have a manual transmission (because I tow the car on all fours). I deliver work trucks to oil fields, often times, and simply tow my car behind the truck I'm delivering, then drive my car home. I need a car that is comfortable, gets exceptional gas mileage and is reliable. The A6 may fit the bill.
So, how are these cars on reliability?
Do they cost a ton to maintain?
I'll be doing a lot of the work on the car myself, but I may let my friend's shop work on it, too, when I get lazy or am in a pinch on time.
Thanks so much for any info you can provide!
