Our A6 has been making a terrible noise upon startup. Sounds like a diesel truck running. Then, our check engine light came on. Took it to the Foreign Performance Automotive shop here in our town and they said it was the camshaft solenoid. About a $250 repair (not bad for audi), but I was wondering if anyone knew of any recalls or such for this particular repair?

 

Any Audi related repair below the $1000 threshold is a no brainer - should be classified as "Miscellaneous".
