Should i have the transmission fluid changed? It says lifetime, but that can never be true...

 

I have changed the ATF and the differential fluids in my 05 4.2 every 40k and have noticed a significant shifting improvement both times. If you check out the transmission manufacturers website they suggest that the ATF be changed every 50k miles. Audi's claims of lifetime are BS.

 

Yes the fluid should be changed around 75k. Same with diff. Don't do a flush. Just drop the pan new filter new gasket and new oil.
