My HVAC control Unit is on the frits. I cannot adjust the temp on the drivers side. I put it into sync with the passanger side so i can change the overall temp but when when winter comes i will have no way to adjust the seat heater. i know.... Real world problems right. I am looking to replace the Control Unit with a used one. $1000 seems like a lot for a 6 year old car. The salvage yards keep asking me if i have Climatronics or not. How can i find out if I have this option or not?
I have a 2006 A6 3.2 liter quattro with heated seats. I have seen a few posts that reference (9AK) opt.

looks like i do not have Climatronics. I was able to order a used part out of Wisconsin. Does anyone know if i need to reprogram the unit or if it is just plug and play, so to speak?

 

well it looks like I will need the car hooked up to a Vag0Com to initialize the Climate control unit. Both units i have purchased just say "OFF" when i plug them in. Can anyone confirm this?
