its up to you really to decide, the a6 is bigger, and older in this case, but you get a v6 with dual turbos. where as with the a4 you get only a 2.0 one turbo engine, i would probably go with the a4 because its newer, less miles, and i like the new style. it depends on what you need, the a6 will have more rear leg room, and it will be faster. (.8 of a second to 60)

i have a friend that chiped a 2.7t and got it up to atleast 300hp just with the chip,
to do that with the 2.0t it would take alittle more work.

it can't be a 2007 a4 if it has a 1.8L turbo engine... i'm pretty sure

yea, i think they stopped giving the a4's 1.8's when the new body style came out a couple years ago. i'd go with the a6.

Not a 1.8 or not a 2007
My guess itis a 2.0 if yuo are sure on the year.
Anyway, very different car and PRICES
If yuo need space, get the A6 and the 2.7T is highly tunable to over 400AWHP. Stock, they'll be close in performance. The A4 will be more reliable and factory warranty! Also very tunable, the chip only will add >50hp. But the rear seat is very small. itll be lighter nad more nimble.
I don't know, it is just two different cars! what are you looking for?

To tell my story again, but in a different thread...

I went looking for an A3. I am 6' and so is the wife. We had a toddler in a booster seat, and she wanted another baby. Looking at the back seat of the A3 made it clear that there was no comfort room in the back or front w/any kind of car seats in the rear.

So I moved up to the A4s on the lot. Again, w/as far back as I put my seat back, I could tell that, 1) there would be no room for a rear facing car seat behind me. 2) there would be no room for my toddler's feet behind me. 3) no room for an adult behind me or the passenger's seat. All of these are of course w/out moving my seat up.

The salesman asked what I was looking to spend and after telling him as little as possible, he showed me the A6. The A6 2.7t is perfect in every way for me. Ample leg room in the rear w/my seat where I like it, the passenger is comfy even w/the rear facing baby seat behind them, and my toddler has foot room behind my seat.

None of these may concern you if you are young or without family. I can tell you this though, even I get looks from lots of women in my A6. I've been the first car at the stop light a few times and heard women look at my car, stop in the crosswalk, and tell their friend's that they like my car. Maybe it is the four rings, maybe it is the A6, maybe I am just really hot and they want to hook up.I don't know. I doubt that it is my hotness since I am 36, gray, and overweight. One can have dreams though!

Good luck in your choice. You'll pay a bit more but CPO'd cars are nice!
