Default 2007 A6 4.2 on 19" versus 18"

HOw will this impact the day to day ride? I suspect the 19" would provide a much "rougher" ride when compare to 18's given the fact that the profile will be lower.

Any thoughts on this?

From 17 to 18 is not that much off a diff, but going to 19 from 18 makes a bigger diff.

I have had two sets of 19's (BBS Ck, BBS RS GT), a set od BBS RC 17" and now a set of Hartmann RS4 DTM in 18's... for the C5, the 18's is the best compromise for looks, handling, ride... 19's look good but tires are just too low profile and the ride suffers a lot, also offer less protection on bad roads. Obvisouly the bigger the wheel, the higher th eweight.... and unsprung weight is key to braking, handling, performance...

I went from 16's to 19's. I also lowered the car at the same time so everything changed. It handles much more responsive but you do notice and feel alot more with the bigger wheels and low pro tires.
