Default 2010 A6 Dashboard Rattle

Need some guidance, my A6 3.0T is only a year old but I have this annoying rattle somewhere around my glove box when I hit a bump in the road. Dealer tried to fix it, but no luck. Anyone else with this issue? Any suggestions?

Sit in the passenger side and whack the dash with your fist. This will excite the resonance that is causing the noise. Start pressing in various places with your other hand as you continue whacking until you find the source of the noise. Take it back to the dealer and show them how to do their jobs and, maybe, they will fix it.

Good luck,

Bob

Take a look at the interior noise section of the TSB library linked below. I followed the glove box TSB and my dashboard rattle disappeared.

Thanks Bob. I gave that a shot and was able to isolate exactly where the noise is and will take it into the dealer tomorrow. Good tip, I appreciate it.
