2011 A6 3.0T Quattro: 100K, RIP
I don't specifically want to bitch, but maybe could use a sanity check.
My 2011 A6 just crept past 100K miles, with every scheduled maintenance performed by the dealership. Car has been meticulously cared for.
Started losing oil dramatically, literally from never needing to add oil between changes to now adding oil every 650 miles. Dealer agreed that for this engine, this is not normal. Paid 2K for a breather assembly replacement, but that did not resolve the problem. According to the dealer, the engine now needs to be rebuilt. How much, I asked.
Not less than $10K.
HOLY &)(*#$%@^&
I thought I would get more mileage out of it, but my A6 is headed to the scrap heap. That's pretty sad for a car that has fewer annual miles than most cars today.
Anyone else have a complete engine catastrophe on their A6 3.0T around the 100K mark?

Hello ,
No this is not normal for that mileage. If you handled the maintenance periods on time, then your dealer NOT saying the exact situation and cause.
Try to find any local mechanics to look for the problem.
Good luck for a good mechanic
