I forgot about this. Every make is now getting rid of their v8's and supercharging or turbocharging their v6. The 2012 BMW M5 is now a v8 I believe instead of the gas loving v10. Fast cars with good mpg's is their new agenda with the economy and all.

Congrats on your new purchase. I plan on staying with Audi so be sure to put the pedal to the metal and tell us how it goes

Thanks. So I ended up purchasing at 6.5% off MSRP. How does that rate?

I'm feeling a little unsure with the dealer. He said that he wasn't going to cash my $1000.00 check at this time, but he was going to order the car. Does that sound right to you? I would imagine that they would deposit the check to keep me committed to the deal. Right????

The other part about this is that the paperwork took 2 minutes. Basically an order sheet that I initialed showing my options and a form that said they could take off the window sticker and put it in the glove box.

Opinions please?

I'm not too certain on the paperwork that goes with buying a new car but just google it. Maybe this article will help.

I've done some research and have a list of questions for the dealer tomorrow. The first one will be, "does he have any allocation left?".

I don't think it will be a question of allocation... I think what they are trying to do is to raise the price once they get one. By cashing your check, it can work as a form of agreement. They don't want to lock the price.

They finally cashed the check. In my world this constitutes a
contract. It has also moved from status 5 to status 10. Good news I guess.
