Default 2nd control arms

I just had to do the front control arms for the 2nd time on my 99 A62.8Q. The first time was at 71K and the second time was at 111K. Has anyone had to do these multiple times? The first time was covered under extended warranty but I had to pay the full price the 2nd time around. Any thoughts on this are appreciated.

Default RE: 2nd control arms

the control arm bushings go really quickly in the A6s because they use a very soft erethane type material. it gives the cars a nice soft ride, but they go bad very quickly so i don't think you're alone. someone makes a set that has different bushing material that's harder and holds up better, but that also makes the ride harder, so it's kind of a lose-lose situation unfortunately.
