hey you A6 avant guys out there. I'm an A4 avant driver thinking that his car is kind of small for passengers. I'm curious what the 3rd row seat looks like. looked around on the web for awhile and couldn't find any picture. Anyone have any shots of the 3rd row seat in the Avant? The prospect of being able to cram 7 people into my car is tempting. Even if the 2 in the back have to be midgets.

 

My Avant came with the third row seat that a midget would find roomy. I very seldom raise it because I use the storage compartment cover to keep prying eyes from looking at my privates -- I mean private stuff.

We sometimes put carseats there for my two grandchildren and although they love it, I would prefer they are in the back seat.

 

is the 3rd row seat an available option for all years of the A6?

 

The third row is standard on the C4 avant, and a (rare) option on the C5. The C5's seat is actually something you remove when not using. The C4 folds into the floor.
