Default 4.2 a6 blinker don't work

does anyone know what to do if your blinkers don't work?

both my right and left side blinkers do not work when i have the flasher turned on. the only way they work somewhat is if i manually lift the lever up and down constantly. the hazards work ok.

does anyone know what this might be?

If I had to take a guess your switch is worn out. The bad news is that if you are going to get at it you are going to have to remove your steering wheel. The steering column stalk switch is one single unit containing both the right and left controls so I bet it is not cheap.

^^^--that's one possibility, but more commonly the relay for the turn signals located in the hazard light assembly goes bad. this isn't too bad to replace, and mainly just involves removing the radio to be able to get to the hazard light switch. do some searching around on here and see if you can find anyone else with your symptoms, but 9 times out of 10 it's that relay.
