5 speed automatic transmission
I need to buy an axle (right CV shaft) for my 2001 audi a6 2.8 Quattro (not tubro) and was looking on Autozone for the parts and found that they have two front CV Halfshaft for audi a6 5 speed automatic transmisson for $60 and Except 5 speed automatic transmission for $80. Which one should I get ? I have tiptronics but not sure if its 5 speed for not.. please let me know which one should i get and if this is a good price for the part or if i can find it cheaper any where else

You have the five speed transmission. The EXCEPT FIVE SPEED is a six speed manual transmission. Beware of the ""new" axles as they are made in in China junk. I put on a set that lastest one day. Look for a rebuilt factory axle.

The China made ones are in fast track to grab your money. They only looks the same, the steel quality, the specs are not 100%. By replacing these Made in China one you may end up more problems. OEM is No.1 and remanufactured OEM is No.2 choice.

They said it may be even better than OEM as they'll modify it if they found weakness in the OEM
"MasterPro remanufactured CV shafts are TS-16949 certified, which means every product is built with the same quality systems as original equipment manufacturers. Many times, Master Pro's advanced remanufacturing processes improve upon original products, not just replace components as needed. Original weaknesses are pinpointed and strengthened, making the product better than new."
