Ya ln 2 means it is time to change the oil. They base it on specific milage -not worn out oil - On some of the Audi's you reset it by pushing buttons on the dash but you need VagCom to do it to yours. I don't know how to do it so I just live with the ln 2

Radio could be a fuse - look at the fuse box cover - a wiring problem, or the Radio is toast.

if it says SAFE it means you need the radio code to make it work. Unfortunately you can only get that from the dealer at a cost of $75 to $100.

I went to AAP tonight, bought a haynes manual to look at the wiring diagrams.
Don't know why there is no mention of the A6 on the manual, it's all about the A4 and the passat.

I'll have to see if my friendly mineke (who change my wife's oil) will reset the dash code thing for me.

No sign of SAFE, not getting anything on the radio at all.
Not even figured out how to get the unit out yet to check the rear fuse.

If I disconnect the battery, will I loose the radio code?
While the unit is now working (it was the rear fuse), can I somehow get the code from it?

Sometimes it will go to SAFE mode when you disconnect the battery and in some cases it will not. Most of the time it will not as long the time is short.

The only way to get the code is the dealer..
