97 A6 What mods can be done ?
So I'm new to the A6, and have heard there are many mods that can be done for performance. Not sure what to do so I'm a bit confused. Have heard many things can be done with the Vagcom but not sure what to look for or what ports to open or close. Any inputs.

Well. theres not as much for your car as there is the 2.7t but theres still a bit to be done. There is a Giac chip/exhaust/intake combo you can buy that should only be a couple grand for all three for a decent power upgrade. Wish I could remember what site but I have given up on tuning my 06 a6 4.2 so I dont remember alot of the places. But with the tuning of any car you have basically the same options. On the more expensive side there are displacement kits/pistons/ new head to do maybe a supercharger/turbo on the really expensive end.

Okay waht about Vagcom, are there certain power restrictions that can be opened up that will give more performance. I understand allot is locked down by the maufacture to make it a US based model. I've heard the Euro model is more powerful.
