Dudes I copped the car like 2 months ago, since then I've put over 5000 miles on it (don't ask). Here is the deal, I'm having no service reminders...?
Something I'm missing? Does my car not have this feature?

 

if you mean service reminders in the sense of BMWs and Infiniti cars popping up a little message in your dash saying "regular service needed" that feature was something added to new cars only 2-3 years ago, so now you wont get a service reminder like that...to my knowledge, what you will get is the check engine light coming on when ur way low on oil or something goes wrong just like it normally does lol, but you will not get that ahead of time warning as you would on a new car...again, just to my knowledge but that technology wasnt implemented till just a couple years back

 

i also have a 98 a6 and mine showed up not to long ago,it said "service inspection"
so i erased

 

i stand corrected lol in that case alex check your fuse boxes...under the hood, and side of the dash on the drivers side, and see if theres any fuses that tie in with service reminders, and see if its there
