99 a6 avant wheels locked
Hi there,
The engine and battery on my 99 a6 avant are not working, it's been sitting in my garage for five months and now I'm trying to get it out. I am able to put the car into neutral but it can't be moved- it seems as though the wheels are locked. Does anyone know what I can do to unlock them without having use of the engine or battery?
Thanks!

Most likely the brake rotors are rusted to the pads. Spray some brake cleaner at the top where the pad meets the rotor. WD-40 will ruin the pads, don't use it.
You could try some hot water and turkey baster. Get the outside and inside of each pad.
Let it soak for an hour.
Get a boom stick or small piece of wood a few feet long. Place it on the rotor near the pad and rap the end with a small hammer a few times. You are trying to create a vibration to break lose the rust.
If you did this and a tow truck should be able to pull it out, the wheels might drag then turn.
Another option is to jack up the car, put it on a jack stand, take off the wheel and work on it that way. Wedge a heavy paint scrapper between the pad and rotor. Might be the wheel bearing, again rap on that with a small hammer.
