Hey all,

I wondering if anyone knows if there is any place to find a replacement passenger side mirror? And by mirror I mean the $$ assembly, in other words the whole shabang. I googled around a bit but didn't find any for my particular year/model. Any help would be much appreciated and sorry if this is the wrong forum.

 

You can buy the glass piece seperate at audi, or go to a junkyard and get one. But if you have the auto dimming gel in the mirror your better off getting a new factory replacment mirror.

 

Unfortunately I clipped a sign avoiding some debris and the whole thing is gone...it was autodimming, heated and all that, I'm just looking for some way to avoid paying ~$400 for a replacement one, it seems like I can find pretty much every other replacement part online but this...

 

Yeah i would think the junk yard is your best bet, and getting it painted.

 

Well I hope there are as many careless/exhausted 1999 a6 quattro avant drivers as me out there and I might be in luck...

For over $300??? and you still have to paint it?? That doesn't seem much cheaper than buying a new one already painted.
