Default 99 a6Q leaking coolant? help

I have a 99 a6 quattro sedan. I think i need to replace the water pump but im not positive. I have been looking around and it seems i should change the timing belt while i have the water pump off. I have also read that i will need a cam locking tool. If anyone knows of a write up or a place to get some diagrams or any help at all i would appreatiate.

i found this link that has a very detailed write with pics... http://www.audiworld.com/tech/eng39.shtml

I remember a while back while i was looking into changing the timing belt someone mentioned a site that rented the cam lock tool if you purchased the timing belt from them and all you needed was to put a deposit down....does anyone know what im talking about? TIA

Blau Parts will rent you the tools (a complete set with fan removal tools, cam lock bar, crank lock pin, etc) if you buy their kit. They do charge for this, though - I think it's $30- $40.

You can also check your local forums and see if someone will loan you the tools. You really do need the cam lock bar as a minimum to make sure your timing is correct.
