Hello guys.. Here is the story I just gave my son my old 99' A6 2.8 quattro and he is wanting to boost the Horsepower like any other teenager out there. Was wondering what would be the cheapest things in order he could add. I was thinking the following:

chip
k&n fliter/intake
catback system (prob out of his budget)..lol

Any help on this guys would be great, I have an 04' S4 so im good to go on my car

 

wants more power give him the s4 (lol) just kidding
not much for the 2.8.. cost per horsepower too much
example exhaust catback 10 maybe 15 hp cost $1000 plus
imo not worth it
would sound good though

 

A chip would add about 15hp and like ratherb1 said exhaust would be nice also but spendy. Another inexpensive add on would be an intake system, will sound great with better airflow.Probebly another 10hp there. Nice car for a teenager, tell him to put some 20's on it and lower it. I would rather roll in style then try and race and get tickets haha. Just my opinion.
