a4 or a6
I'm guessing less repairs with the a4 and I personally like the look of an a4, but buying an a6 was a great dicision and I would want nothing more than my a6 2.7t (maybe an Rs6) Honestly the 2.7t is a great way to go, tons of mods and with the ko4 upgrade you can crank out nearly 450hp which is alot for a sedan. If you want to carry around people the 6 is the way to go as well. Good Luck with your final decision, but IMHO I would get the a6.
We have both in our stable (well, close enough.....the 2.8 A4 is a lot like it's newer sibling). And it really just depends on what you need it for. The A4, in terms of maintenance, is easier in the long haul, as it has that many fewer things to wear out (turbo-related things). It also tends not to eat brake pads as fast, being that it weighs a lot less. It's easier to deal with in city traffic, as it is smaller and somewhat more nimble.
That being said, when we have a 400 mile trip to make, it's the A6 all the way. It eats highway miles like they're going out of style, and has a plenty of room to make everyone comfortable. Even with 4 adults in the car, nailing the throttle (my car is stock) will get you moving pretty quickly, something the A4 has to think about a little bit. And if you want a car to play with a little bit....the A6 has more mods available than the naturally aspirated A4. However, playing that angle, you could get a 2.0 A4 and be able to play around, too.
If you need to carry people/stuff around, the 6 is the better choice. If you're just carrying you around, the 4 might suit you better. All around, they're pretty similar in terms of day-to-day livability.

i had 01 a4 1.8t and just bought a 04 a6 2.7t and go the A6 all the way. The interior size of the car is so much better like said before not to mention performace is better. However fuel economy not so good... a6 way out classes the a4... get S-line A6 though..
