A6 2002 - replace front light bulb?
Hi
Probably an easy question this but I have an MOT tomorrow and just realised that I need to replace one of the front light bulbs on my A6 Avant (2002) ..... how do I get to it?
Also, whilst driving last week, 1 minute after starting the car, the yellow engine light lit for a couple of seconds, a little loss in power but it seemed to clear quickly and hasn't re-occurred.. should I be worried?

It is likely your headlights are like mine. (2000 A6 2.7t) -- it isn't very hard, just a tight spot. (smaller hands help.)
My headlight bulbs are accessed under the hood, under a clip on cover mounted on the rear of the headlights. (On the right side I have to remove the air tube that passes over this area.) The bulbs themselves are held in by a little wire clip. The clip itself is fastened to the headlight. It does not REQUIRE any tools but I use a screwdriver for the cover clips.
-- Buy two bulbs and be ready to replace the other one soon.
-- Do not touch the glass of the new bulb. The oils from your fingers will burn and damage the bulb.
-- Inspect the wire connection at the bulb. If loose it will cause a lot of heat and not work correctly.... I had it damage a bulb.

Thanks Mike, will give it a go. I had a quick look earlier and I guess I will have to remove the air tube too, as it is on that side that the bulb is gone. Strangely enough the Audi dealer told me to buy two bulbs when I visited. I have an hour or so tomorrow morning before the MOT so hopefully i'll figure it out.
