Default a6 4.2 19" rims???

I just bought a 2001 Audi A6 4.2 black/black. I was thinking of upgrading the rims to the RS6 replica's: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/18-Au...spagenameZWDVW

Anyone have experience with these, or put them on their car? What fits better, the 19's or the 18's? Will I need spacers?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Donlt remember if it came stock with sport package. If so, you started with 17's and 18's will work fine. I do use center rings on my particular wheels. Talk to Discount Tire.com.
I had a friend with an '03 , 3.0 who had those in 18's on his. Looked very agressive and filled up the wells pretty well.

Those are nice looking rims. If they are truly replicas, you should not need center rings. I didn't when I replaced my 18" SSR's with 18" Velocity RS4 replica rims. You need to find out the offset on these rims versus whatever is listed for your A6. I might have that on my home computer, but not on my travel laptop.

Suggest you don't go larger than 18". The thinner sidewall of a 19" will ride rougher and is more susceptible to damage. Plus 19" tires usually cost a lot more.

it is nice clean looking wheel. I alsmot got those from Hartmann instead of my RS4 replicas. The offset on these seem to be 30mm. Chekc on that, also it says it won't fit some models with big brakes... not sure what brales you have but look into it.

Thanks for the help, guys. I'll look into the 18's. Is discounttires.com and tirerack.com the best places to buy tires?

railrunner, what rims do you have and what size? Those look really good on the car. Did you drop it at all?

They are TSW's. I bought them three years ago when split five spokes were not very common. I like the look on the AMG 65 series.
These are two piece. My car was a sport and lux package so I beleive it sat a little lower (not much). I have no aftermarket work done yet, but am watching the guys closely who are going to VAST as it looks incredible. I love my car regardless.
