Hey guys,

I have a 2000 a6 4.2 and need to replace the transmission. The reverse went and I was going to buy a used tranny from Shokan.

My question is; when i swap out the trans. do i need to get the same TCM from the car that i got the transmission from? or can i just use my current TCM?

Another random question - can i use a 2002 4.2 transmission in my year/model?

Any help would be appreciated.
