I just bought a 2001 audi A6 2.7t Quattro, and im planning on tuning it through APR and ECS, i also want to do some exterior modifications and cant seem to find what im looking for, im trying to figure out where i can get a front bumper that looks like the one that is on the 2002 and up, the "wide mouth" front bumper. i cant find an aftermarket bumper and if there isnt one available how easily could one "fit" a 2002 bumper on it? also any other info on tuning ideas are gladly welcomed

 

Greetings, a bumper mod you should look into would be that of the 05 and newer Audis, the open mouth bumper is a good look and you can find them at Your Headquarters for VW Styling / Audi body kits /BMW styling and Performance LummaUSA, Hamann USA They have them at a good price and you can also get a chrome grill insert. I would go xenon if you don't have them already and a taillight change, just my 2 cents.

 

If you put a C6 (05) or newer looking bumper on your 01 A6 I will hunt you down and take your car away from you.

etc to have it fit properly (going off memory from what I read when the same thought crossed my mind)

i like the wide mouth look, im not ricing this car out or anything, common sense tells me that with that wide mouth bumper there would be alot more airflow for the intercooler, i am having the ecu tuned, new intake, exhaust, changing out all the pulleys, and later on when i have more money doing more work on the turbos, my big hang up there is i dont know whether to use a diverter valve system or just a BOV. thank you for the exterior upgrade ideas as well, i am planning on lambo doors and blacking the car out the rest of the way as it is already black on black, and headlights would be a great addition, as always any other HELPFUL information is always welcomed as is educated opinons on other upgrades and info. the front bumper conversion that i sort of found was called like an rdt wide mouth conversion, i think from a place called stricitly foriegn, but im not sure it was hard to decipher..
