I have recently picked up a 2010 A6 Le Mans, 2.0tdi with 19" wheels. The tyres are 255/35/19 and I have read that they can wear quite quickly. At present there are a mixture of tyres on the car.

Given the cost of these tyres, can anyone recommend a good tyre that will last. I would like to eventually get all four the same but there appears to be a massive choice and range out there.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you have a mix of brands, even with the same "size", it is not good. There are variations between manufacturers and differences in circumference can negatively impact your differentials as they have to compensate for different rotational speeds. That said, tires are like religion, with lots of opinions. IMHO, either oem Pirellis or Continentals are the best bet. I had bad luck with Coopers (kept failing) and Kumhos (did not last very long).
