Hi Guys, What is the best service manual that covers the A6 1998 with a 1.8T AEB gas engine. Regards Peter

Thanks for that but it appears the Bentley manual does not cover the 1.8T engine which I have.

You might have to use the VW Passat98 thru 05 B5 platform DVD /manual to get the 1.8T motor. Call Bentley and see what they say!
