sorry this has probibly been asked a few times, im a little drugged up a bit from my acident, i totaled my a4 was looking about buying a 99-01 a6 2.7t wanted to know what to look for, and if its a good choice.. dont know much about the 2.7t as far as reliability thanks.. any info would be great

 

Best advice I can give you is to research the car on this forum for past issues mechanical and otherwise. Once you locate a car you like, make sure to drop 200 bucks and have an audi guy fully inspect the car. You will thank me later.

 

2nd that. Search will reveal FAR more info for you on this very broad question than you'll ever get in reply to a single post.

Good luck with your search. FWIW, try to get the lowest mileage you can. Twin turbos will last a lot longer if well taken care of. The biggest assurance you can get in this regard is to be the person putting the miles on. Thus, a lower mileage car lets you do that.

 

i bought a 01 a6 2.7t sport pkg after my 99.5 a4 was wrecked. no regrets at all

 

If a wagon body style is acceptable, don't overlook an Allroad, which has the same motor (except later models with avail. 4.2)
