A6 S-line question.
Im buying an 2005 Audi A6 S-line. It has an S-Line badge on the right side of the trunk, and the S-line badge on the driver side interior door, what else would i need to look for to guarantee it's a true S-line.
also, what does S-line include.

RE: A6 S-line question.
Hey Mike
I agree with Jeffla, a VIN search woudl be safest.
This might help also: http://www.audiworld.com/model/
On the C5 the S-line had the sport suspension (little lower, stiffer shocks and bigger swaybars). Pretty sure the new one has similar specs, but I do nto know for a fact.
If you can get your hands on the car's options codes you can also run that via http://PRSearch.PlanetVAG.comThis show how thecar left the factory. But the VIN search will still be best.
Cheers

RE: A6 S-line question.
you can also tell by the interior, some do come with not a wood finish but carbon fiber
the lcd screen is diffrent being of color, and of course the engine, that carries enough ponnies in my opinion, but calling the dealer is the best option

RE: A6 S-line question.
In 2005 the s-line was a sport package that included a sport suspension, 18 inch wheels and sport seats on the 4.2. Both the 18 inch wheels and the sport seats were also available as stand alone options. So really the only tell tale sign on the 05 was the sport suspension.Assuming that it is a 4.2, the presence of the sport seats is probably the easiest indicator to observe, though it is not proof positive. I agree send the VIN number to the dealer.
