Hi I don't know much about the A6, mostly because I have an A4. But my friend has an 01 A6 and hates the seats and would like to put the A4 seats in it. Does anyone know if this is possible, or how hard it would be? Any info would help. Thanks.

A4 and A6 seats are not interchangeable...the rails are different. I suppose someone could fabricate an adaptor, but I am unaware of anyone who has done that. You'd be better off looking from within the C5 platform (that is the A6 from 1998-2004). There was a sport version of the seats from 2000 and later, which give infinitely more lateral support with much more pronounced side bolsters. There are also a select few who spent the $3,000 to $4,000 and imported the OEM euro recaro seats...those are smokin, and are the same Recaro seats that came in the B6 S4, just with the A6 framework.
