Post A6 Suspension, alignment ques?

I hit my tire against a pillar while reversing my car. My sterring is now crooked but it drives fine...do you think i bent my suspension and is that something that can be fixed or replaced? How much is the cost to replace suspension?

Do you think alignment or something will fix it?

Thanks

I think a good and honest alignment shop will tell you whether you bent your steering linkage or whether the alignment was knocked off. We can't tell from here.

I'm sitting in NH and can see that something is amiss with you vehicle.

If everyting was OK before you pillared it and now the stearing wheel is off center - something moved. It might be simple and it might be complicated. I would have it checked out by someone that knows what they are doing. SOON!

Got it checked out...simple alignment fixed it with no damage to anything else...what a relief?

How much did the alignment cost? (if you don't mind answering)
Was it a four-wheel alignment or just the back?
Specialized shop or a regular Tire shop?

Thanks.

Put the car on jack stands and look for a bent wheel or bent suspension parts. Next, have the alignment checked at a tire store. If they are unable to do the alignment, they will be able to give you an estimate of the repairs required.
Next, compare their estimate with your personal inspection. Beware that the estimate is written by a sales person with a computer program, and may list parts that were not damaged.
Find the Audi suspension part numbers at www.vagcat.com .
