A6 tire sensors
I have an 05 A6 with tire pressure monitors. For 2 years they have been nothing but trouble with false sensing that creates the loud buzzer when the cart starts and the warning light stays on the dash panel. The tires ARE inflated to Audi recommended pressures and Audi has replaced one sensor already. The problem continues even with a new set of tires I purchased a few months ago. Correct pressure IS NOT the problem. (I was in the tire business for 31 years)
I asked Audi to disconnect the sensors, or at least disconnect the buzzer and warning lights. They say they cannot do that. (I'm sure it's a liability issue)
Anyway, has anyone had this problem and, if so,, had the sensors disconnected?
HELP!

From what I have read on the various forums you can not turn off the system. I recently replaced all of the sensors with sensors I purchased on Tire Rack and have had no problems. Apparently the batteries in the sensors are only designed to last 4 or 5 years.
