A6 Violent shaking above 50mph
Good morning AFers
Here's the deal, I took the Audi out to breakfast this morning after it had been sitting for 4 days ( out of town for TG) on the way to breakfast the car started violently shaking at any speed above 50 mph. I has a slight vibe @75mph before I left for the holiday. We have a ton of snow here and I thought it was just some snow build up inside the wheel, took it to the car wash place and got all the snow out of the wheels. Well that guess was wrong still did it. wheel bearing have all been replaced 20k miles ago along with the suspension. Tires were replaced 6k and balanced 2k ago when I got my oil changed. It's not the engine it feels the same at varying RPM and in different gears.
Any one have any idea what it could be?
Just to recap.
Problem= violent shaking
likely causes that aren't the problem.
Suspension, wheels, tires, engine.
No warning lights on the dash
suggested solutions go!

I would check out your tires first as you might have a tire de-laminating even though they were recently replaced.
Check out your bushings as one might have loosened.
More expensive would be that a U-Joint has failed.

Probably still some snow on the inside of your rims. Unless you remove them to clean them, there is always some residual left over until things get warm enough to melt the snow or you drive through enough salt slush. I would remove the wheels and clean them.

According to the weather report, Spokane is still below freezing with more snow on the way. You could very well be right unless twistedfreedom has access to a heated garage where the snow/ice would melt. My suggestions were based on the assumption that no residual snow/ice were on the rims or suspension. Since you are in MI, you know all about snow.
