About to buy an Audi A6, Questions?
Hello AudiWorld Users!,
Recently driving across an independent dealership I saw a 2003 Audi A6 Quattro 3.0 V6 for sale. I decided to check it out, it has about 92,000 Miles and is for sale for about $4000
The condition itself is really nice, with no damage visible.
My son needs a All Wheel Drive car for snow so I am thinking about picking this up for him as a gift.
Is there anything I should look for in particular? Like any specific engine wear and tear?
I do plan on definitely taking the VIN and running a carfax before buying it.
Thank you for any replies

Any 12 year old car is a risk. I personally think the 3.0 is a better bet than the 2.7T. In fact, it is the reason I bought the A4 3.0 for my daughter. My suggestion to any prospective OOOO owner is to test drive it 100 miles and thoroughly check out every feature and function. These are great cars in the snow, and they are heavy and loaded with air bags.
Make sure the timing belt service was done. If not, you're looking at about $1100 from an indie shop; more from a dealer.
