Recently Ive had an ABS and blinking Brake light on my dash and have diagnosed it down to a bad ABS control module and I'm wondering where I can get 1? I've done some research online and saw that it is abour 415$ brand new but I'm more looking for a used one.

Can any1 refer me to a cheap ABS control module for a 2000 audi a6 2.7t?

Search this board - There is a company that rebuilds them - I think it is Module Master but you need to check to be sure. Lots of people say they are good.

 

I tried searching module master and i couldnt find a thread or anything referring me to them, can any1 give me a link to where i can get in contact with them?

And actually removing the ACU, is that a job that I could do by myself? I'm not horrible competent when it comes to cars so it would need to be a pretty straight forward job, no tearing apart the front end or anything.

They rebuild the ABS modules and provide a warranty. They also will provide you with instructions on how to remove the module.

im running a rebuilt module right now. havent had any problems aside from in 5k miles it blinked once.

 

I got mine repaired by Module Master about a year ago for $168. I hadn't had any problems since. I would recommend them. They have a 5 year/ unlimited mile warranty. The dealership wanted to charge me $850 and only offered a 12 month/12k mile warranty.

 

i tried to check out modulemaster but the link above (www.modulemaster.com) didn't work, so i just settled for autoecu.com, they too offer a 5 year warrenty but they are rebuilding it for 99$, lets hope all goes well, ill post here once i have it installed and running

can any1 direct me to a DIY brake bleed? I'm going to have to refill my brake fluid and then do a brake bleed on it, from what i understand its pretty easy, fill up the reservoir, and pump the brakes while releasing the valve on the calipers? I'm just interested on where is the valve on the calipers and if im missing something.
