Default ABS failure?

My '98 A-6 quattro has begun to show the ABS failure (solid yellow) and the blinking red Brakes after driving for a while. I read the posts on this andam prepared to remove the EBTCM and send to ModuleMaster. One last question before I do this. This is an intermittent problem. The ABS and Brake warning lights come on after driving a while. Sometimes they go back out on their own and that's it for the drive. Othertimes they later come back on. It always clears if I turn the car off for a while. Is this the same issue?

Thanks

Default RE: ABS failure?

Rupert,

Those are the same symptoms I had before I removed my module and sent it off to Module Masters. It was intermittent at first but gradually became more of a constant problem. Although they say you can, I did not drive my car without the module mainly because I wanted to take it apart only once and put it back together once. To drive it you would need to do both twice. I shipped mine Monday, Fedex 2 day delivery and had Module Mastersship it back Fedex overnite and received it the following Monday, one week to the day. Have fun, be careful and take your time.
