Default ABS Problem?

Hi, I have a problem on my Audi A6 1998. The ABS light will come on first then the Oil pressure symbol (oil drip can), then the autobox goes into safe mode (top gear?) and the rev counter stops working.

Any idea please of what is the cause?

Regards

Peter

Default RE: ABS Problem?

You have a failure somewhere on the databus. Try unplugging the abs control module and see if that fixes it. If it does, you need a new abs control module.

Thanks, Audi had confirm that it's the ABS Module and so have a independent ABS specialist.

Default If it's the ABS module, try...

www.ModuleMaster.com. Removing the module is pretty easy. You send it off and <$300 and a few days later, you can re-install.

Do a search on AudiWorld for ABS - loads of good info.
