Does anyone know if it's possible to add the Rear Acoustic Park Assist and/or the auto dimming rear view mirror to my A6? Can I buy those options, I regret not getting them.

maan, I hate the parking assist! does anyone know how to lower the volume ... christ! it is f*&king annoying!!

 

Set up in MMi you can set the front & Rear tone and volume from there

 

Similar problem except my dealer is bricking it right now as they ommitted to transpose the mirrors to the Audi order. Everything else in car is great but the dealer seems to think thatthis is not retro fit so they may be getting me a new car

 

The C5 does not have MMI. The suggestion is good for the C6 though.

I eventually decided to find out from Audi directly if the mirrors could be fitted to my 2008 car. The dealer did not transpose my order correctly to the Audi factory system and ommitted the auto dimming mirror option
I pointed this out to my dealer before I left the forecourt as it was number three on my list A6 Avant Special Editions 3.0TDi Quattro Tip Auto Le Mans. Nearly £8000 of extras and they forgot number three on the list. Audi say that certainly on the 2008/9 model the mirrors cannot be retro fitted owing to the canvas wiring the car employs and the loadings that the mirrors require.

I contacted the dealer and advised he needed to order me a replacement car as I wanted my order as specified at over £40 K and 12 weeks to wait I expected what I had originally specified and signed off. Dealer is sad now meeting with their three senior managers this week to disciuss options they have so far offered 3 years free servicing based on 20Kpa. Already sorted first service free so they are only offering £300 compen when you take that the option ommitted was £460 and they only ordered £260 folding option.

Note to any Audi persons considering Adaptive lilghts. Best money I spent on car.Initially very strange however very very good worth every penny of the £650 it cost

 

Audi UK have just decided that they are going to replace my car as they cannot retro fit the mirrors. By all accounts they do not seem to be able to retro fit almost anything owing to the 'canvas wiring'. Whats worse the LeMans a limited edition special is now no longer available and the replacement 2009 spec car will have to be speced up from an Sline.

Audi UK state that if the mirrors are added by cutting the wiring it would invalidate the warranty on the car :-(
