Default Adding homelink - quick question

I want to add the Homelink visors to my A6. I'm told all I have to do is run power & ground to the visor - is that true?

No, my light is built into the roof - it just turns on when the vanity mirror's door is slid open. So, obviously power is up there, but I'm not sure where that harness runs (all cars have dome lights, etc, so I guess it's possible to tap into that - homelink can't use much). I just want to verify that all it needs is power. I'm assuming the "computer" for it is built in?
