Default Aftermarket Stereo - (2000 Audi A6 2.8)

Hi everyone, i was looking at changing the cd player in my car to a after market one. Now the car has a bose concert system consisting of the tape deck, cd change, 6 speakers, 4 tweeters + a subwoofer & a amplifier to run them. Now how would i go about running the original speakers off the bose amp that is factory in the car to a after market deck? They sell the adapter kits to fit aftermarket decks on ebay so i assume it can be done. Thanx =)

Look for a harness. Should be a prety easy deal but make sure that you buy a deck that has atleast 2 pairs of RCA outputs because you wont be able to fade front and rear. I do them all the time. Make sure to get the powered antenna adapter if you want to listen to AM, the factory antenna amplifier needs power injected through the antenna cable inorder to activate the antenna amplifier. The adapter for the radio harness should be Metra 70-1787 and the antenna is Metra 40-VW44. Good luck. And if you don't feel confident to do it yourself I would highly suggest having a professional shop do it for you. Say No to Best Buy and Circuit City... They will F up your car because 80% of the installers dont have any idea what the hell they are doing. I have been in this business for many years and have fixed many of their screwups.
