How much difference will I see with a K&N air filter?

You will see your wallet decrease by about $50, and that is about the only difference you will see.

Search for "K&N" in this sub-forum and you will most likely find that most people don't see any performance or mileage gains with a perfectly new K&N. You also have to be diligent about cleaning it, because if you happen to over-oil it, you may end up fouling your MAF sensor....which could be a big (and expensive) headache.

second^
Have had two. If you're willing to pay the $50, fine but don't expect gains. If there are any, they are so negligable that you won't feel them. Cleaning has to be perefect and excess oil must be emoved with paper towels or newspaper... Your MAF could go with over oiling.

MANN Filter C26 is a good cheap filterIMO

You'll gain a whole lot of dirt introduced into your engine! K&N's do not keep out the fine dirt and dust. If you want your engine to last you won't use one. I should take pictures of the dirt in the intakes of our grass drag sleds. You can't imagine how much gets thru!

Share the knowledge about the Mann filter. Since you were the only who actually told me something I didn't already know. Good look and thanks in advance[sm=rant.gif]

since I can't get a decent answer on how to get the "Freakin" clamp off, so I can "Freak-up" my MAF and my FREAKIN ENGINE[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]. I didn't ask for 50"Freakin" violins...[sm=violin.gif" border=0>
my engine....too much dirt...cost too much....[IMG]https://www.audiforums.com/upfiles/smiley/WTFsgign.gif]

I wrote the post and read the post and there isn't one "FREAKIN" word that says tell me about your "Freakin" experience[sm=violin.gif[/IMG]

I just need some "FREAKIN" help gettin the "FREAKIN"...
