I have been looking for a while and came across an 2003 A6 4.2 with 77K miles on it. It appears very clean and has all the options. My wife is leary of the mileage, I think these cars can go 200K when maitained properly. If I can get it for around $17,000.00, Am I getting a good deal?

With that engine, no. It's a tank. Take good care of her and she'll easily double her milage (and then some) before she starts to get tired.

 

i ahve to also agree with the above statements. those motors are long lasting. just make sure youre always up to date on maintenance and dont do anything stupid with it and theres no reason why it wouldnt last ya another 70K

 

Thank you all. I am going to drive it on Friday. I drove an 04 A6 4.2 today.not a sport edition but only had 42K on it. Very nice!

A lot more money though.

 

Put a deposit on the 03 4.2 Going tomorrow for the test drive and mechanics inspection.

there is a dealer ship near me that sells like 2003 A6 3.0s for lke 14,500 with them only having like 65,000 miles on them
