hi there chaps,ive just baught an a6 2.4 se avant 98mdl.after arming the alarm there is a beeping noise from under the bonnet/poss inside car every 30 seconds or so?is this normal

My A8 4.2 quattro sport's alarm makes the same noise if any door, bonnet, boot, window or sunroof is not closed properly.</P>


The door seals are that good, that closing a door quickly, causes enough back pressure in the cabin to stop the door closing all the way and the lock catching.</P>


If all doors, windows etc are fully closed, check alarm concacts on all openings, one may not connecting.</P>

 

i will try that but i think all the doors were closed ok?i might have to check the connections.i think it is the alarm anyway that is makeing these rapid beep noises
