JEEZ,
I dont want to offend you, BUT you have only been a member here for a year and only have what, 360 something posts. To me, I would still consider you a noob. You are also VERY young.

I can remember when I was 22 years old also. I knew everything and had the world by the B@LLS.
You forgot to mention that he has a childish mustang with eyes -- The least he could have done was make the Audi the hero but that's another subject!

I feel that some people inthe online communities get a little carried away with the whole noob thing. I have been a member of online honda forums since around 2002- yamaha r6 forums since 2006 and various other random forums. When I need to find out some information, such as whats the scoop on turboing a 2.8 A6- the search button doesnt really cover it. Unfortunately what I get from the search button is a whole lot of "USE THE SEARCH BUTTON". Geez- what im tire of is the "old geezers" on the sites getting on every noobs post and heavly criticizing the idea of what people are asking or seeking. Maybe what the guys on the sites should do is respond if you actually know something- or at least give some type of response that is productive- the excess criticism doesnt help----

im sure i have read more post by users over 1000 post giving ridiculous answers and non valueable criticism than i have read by noobs asking stupid questions....justthink about it

If everyone used the search feature there wouldn't be any more posts. If there wasn't any more posts, there wouldn't be any reason for a forum. Right? Just a thought.

I know I am a noob with my Audi, BUT I do use the search feature when I need to find an answer.

I have been a member on several Cummins Diesel forums for several years with 1500+ posts.
I STILL ask noob questions over there. Half the time its when Im up to my elbows in grease and dont have the time to search.

JMO.

Another thing, the search feature on here is more difficult to navigate then most of the forums I hang out on.

i'm not offended, and my problem isn't with noobs at all, it's with noobs (or anyone i guess for that matter) not searching for their answer first. i definitely was not implying that i know everything, especially because i'm probably younger than the majority of people on here, but i do know my way around an engine and do all my own work on all of my cars. i think maybe this is getting taken the wrong way, because i wasn't trying to offend anybody in the first place, it's just frustrating to me when people don't search first, that's all.

I understand. I'm a noob and I do all my searching first. If I can't find what I need, then I post the question.

It really doesn't bother me, people are intimidated easily. I have over 800 PM's in my inbox and 75% of those are some serious newbie questions. Like where is my hood release!? That i can understand why someone wouldn't wanna post that one. Live and let learn.

Before I reg in here I was checking Mercedes and BMW forums... (I wasn't sure if I should get the E39,E46,w210,w203 or A6)... and I observed that they are really more into mods... and in here is more like a maintenance things..

More enthusiastic I guess...

I know Repeat questions can be a pain....But, Sometimes re-posts get different people looking at the posts and you come up with some different advice, and old post with a problem that wasn't as known as it is now, could get a new, or better answer than before. I personally have never used the search, but then again I haven't asked many questions, just commented here and their about my past experiences with problems in hopes of helping someone else out. I amsure, one of theses days...I will be looking for some help from you guys and I am glad that I am not looking like a total Noob here....hahahaha ... Even thought I kinda am. I think it is cool that most of us on here have fun with the site instead of just popping on herejust assistance. The Noobies will get the hang of it and eventually add some input on alot of things.....Everyones gotta start somewheres.
