Anyone used the Koni FSDs?

Hoping to lower my A6 soon and I was thinking of giving the Koni FSDs a shot. Although I don't think I have ever really heard anyone talk about them. Is what they say true. Optimum handling and comfort at the same time? I was going to pair them with some Eibach springs. Any insight would be appreciated! Thanks!

Sure looks interesting. Let me know if you go with them and if they improve handling and/or ride. Price seems reasonable at $572 for the set.

About KONI FSD
KONI introduces the first no-compromise shock absorber in the world. In order words: a complete turn around in road-holding. Until recently you had a choice between shock absorbers that were either more firm or more comfortable. Cars with firm suspension do have better road-holding but there is a trade-off in the level of comfort. Cars with soft suspension are more comfortable but have disadvantages in terms of optimum road-holding.
KONI FSD: Frequency Selective Damping. A revolutionary new technique whereby the benefits of both types of ride are combined in one perfect shock absorber. Banishing the disadvantages of the past.
FSD shock absorbers; a smart suspension system adjusting automatically to road conditions as well as driving style.

THE POWER OF SIMPLICITY
As advanced as FSD is in operation, the basic principle behind it is astoundingly simple. No electronics or sensors are used. The FSD technology is based purely on hydraulics.
Put simply, FSD actively controls the damping level on the basis of the movement frequency of both the car's body as well as the suspension. It reacts even more responsively than electronic systems do.
BENEFITS
[ul][*]ultimate road-holding and handling[*]improved grip and safety level[*]great stability[*]optimum comfort level[*]superior body control[*]adding comfort to low profile tires[*]maximum driving pleasure [/ul]

Guys I have Koni sports shocks ( I will try and find out the specific type), they are not the adjustable type (soft to firm) but they are great!!! Serisously...I put eibach pro springs and the Koni sports on and I love the ride...its just enough for the type of driving I like to do. I could honestly do with a little less bounce, but what I have is great...especially for the money. I think next I will change out the sway bars because there still is a bit of lean when taking hard corners but not as much as it use to have. Hope this helps.
ok, well I have Koni Yellow Adjustable shocks and they are hard on the softest setting mostly because of my H&R springs, they work better with Eibach springs. My friends's A6 has the same yellow Konis with Eibach, his ride is not quite as low abut it is smoother.
Hey formula I have the same setup on my 03 A6. H sport, Koni yellows, and HR springs. I also upgraded all the control arms and ball joints etc. with the Meyle HD kit. Lots of urethane. I get a crap load of noise, crunch, squeak etc. Do you find the same thing or do you think it is from the Meyle stuff?
NO noise on mine now, but right after the Hsport sways were installed I did. Maybe yours were not installed properly. If they are nto tighten with suspension under load, you'll havhe noise.
What had happened for me...
"The angle of where the bar meets the bushings is not flat/parallel and there is a gap that is causing the noise."
I had talked to Mike at Purems and he had given me the following guidelines for isntall. He said that the following are commong easy mistakes or things to check/do to install these correctly:1- Confirm that the S sport Stickers are upright/readable. Many times, people will install the bars upside-down.2- The rear endlinks SHOULD BE on the OUTSIDE of the bar, between the sway bar and the tire.3- Use locktight on all bolts to the bushings front and rear?4- Very critical: TIGHTEN END LINK BUSHING with CAR on the GROUND!******* and all will align perfectly.

Thanks man. I gave all that info to my mechanic and it was complied with. He was actually the one who mentioned to me how critical it is to tighten the stuff under load. He also said I would have noise because of all the urethane bushings but I just wanted to hear what everyone else had to say. The alignment report came back flawless except for the camber. Unfortunately they do not make a camber kit for my vehicle.
