Audi a6 1999 help
Hey, I got a Audi a6 1999 petrol 2,4l.
1problem:
I bought this awesome Audi. Allright guy I guess, but he didenīt say that the cd player does not play any discīs. I have tried original/fake disc. This Audi model come with disk, gps and tv all in one. 6 disk storage in the front. Built into the player. Itīs the original one. But it wonīt read disc or store the discĻs... (only says that this disc is not readable) any suggestion on whats wrong?
2 problem:
I also have a little problem with the cigarette lighter in front. The rear one works fine but there is no power in the front one.
Is there an other fuse than the cupe ones? (I hope itīs not a burnt wire)
3 problem: there is some runnings sounds in the left front suspension. Only when i hit bumpers in the road. I might suspect the spring. Any idea of what I should/can do with this?
4 problem: This is a bit tricky to explain. But ill try. The children safety for the rear windows doesn't god on and off if you press it down. It just stays on all the time. Its like as if it is loked into on position. So is it the switch or something els that is wrong?
I love the car and engine runs perfect.

Just an observation: You said the car is equipped with GPS and a DVD player. By no means to I suspect that to be stock as I don't think Audi began putting anything like that into cars until 2004... I think.
The previous owner probably took the working unit out before he sold it and replaced it with a defective unit so he/she could either use the good unit himself, or resell it and get a little more money.
Your front suspension issue is most likely caused by a failing bushing on one of the control arms.

3) most likely your lower control arms. try to move arms. if there is play then bushings have failed. common issue with this car. audi did have a recall on these. also, search forum for DIY.
4) most likely need to replace unit. ebay for used. mine had same issue. cost was $25 on ebay used. works great.
