Hmmm, I have the same car, and I have never had that problem, I have 90200 on it now. If I remember I will ask around work today. I dont thin our max hp is at much higher then 4,500 though should loose power in the mid 5000's though, I'm not quite sure though. but ill ask around.
I am also a kid and the A6 seemed to be a good buy for insurance reasons. I finaly bought what i was looking for and got an '01 S4 Nogaro blue with alcantera interior.and the insurance is outrageos. I would say search around for a good independent mechanic, do you have any friends with Audi's that would recomend a place?

I have an independent Audi mechanic coming to take a look today, I hope it's not an expensive thing to fix, I'll keep you guys updated. I did a search but couldn't find anything, is there a post of pictures of modded A6's?

So, I don't see any indication as to what year this car is, but you may want to take into consideration when buy and selling the depreciation value. You are pretty safe to buy a 3 year old car with low miles that meets certification standards, because the highest depreciation has already been seen. Before you decide what to do, take a look blue book values, cost of ownership, depreciation and resell value.

Yeah, yeah, me who bought a 2003 A6 3.0 Quattro with 25K miles on it, reading the posts in the forum wondering what I got myself into. lol.

I should have done this before I bought my car, but I was rushed to take advantage of the sales tax law that was just passed. Greedinesscan get you no where quickly. =)
