Default audi a6 lil steam coming from the radiatior

Earlier i had the heated coolant signal popping up and the indicator showing the coolant level was way too hot. I took it to a mechanic and just changed the fan switch which apparently was shot. This morning i noticed a little vapour coming from the radiator. The coolant level is ok. Is this common? what should i do?
Thanks.

Wait and watch!

The steam could be due to many things so I'd watch the coolant level for a few days. If it drops I'd begin looking for another radiator or hose..

This is not an easy question to answer.. I do most of my own work--- replacing a radiator could take a few hours and maybe more if you have an automatic. I got a good used radiator for around $100 so I'd guess you could get a new one for about $250. If you had an Audi dealer do the work I'd estimate a minimum of $600 including new antifreeze -- maybe more!
